Create an Atmosphere of Joy

“Make a joyful noise…” (Psalm 100:1)

As we continue to kick off 2020, let me encourage you to create new habits and set up new boundaries to surround yourself with a joyful atmosphere. Make a joyful noise!! Remember Pigpen from the Charlie Brown comics? It seemed like everywhere he went, he was surrounded by a cloud of dirt and dust. The atmosphere around Pigpen was a dust ball!

The people we associate with, the music we listen to, the places we go, the things we read, the videos we watch, the conversations we participate in and the words we say all create an atmosphere around us. When we live in the “dirty atmosphere” stirred up by doubt and negativity, it’s no fun — and we’re no fun.
Thankfully, we can change the “dust” we kick up around us — we can change the atmosphere around us by making a joyful noise! An atmosphere where you’re excited and invited to rejoice in the Lord and shout for joy and be glad! An atmosphere where ushers and moves you to experience more of His Presence where there is fullness of joy!

“Be cheerful with joyous celebration in every season of life. Let joy overflow, for you are united with the Anointed One!” – Philippians‬ ‭4:4‬ ‭TPT‬‬

“You will show me the path of life; In Your presence is fullness of joy; At Your right hand are pleasures forevermore.” – Psalms‬ ‭16:11‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

“But let all those who take refuge and put their trust in You rejoice; let them ever sing and shout for joy, because You make a covering over them and defend them; let those also who love Your name be joyful in You and be in high spirits.” – Psalm‬ ‭5:11‬ ‭AMPC‬‬

C.S. Lewis said “Joy is the serious business of Heaven!” We should all desire and want seriously good and glorious changes, turnarounds and new things from God to occur in our lives in 2020. We need the atmosphere of JOY in and around our lives to bring and experience Heaven on Earth more often. One simple place to start is with your music! Think about the power of a song. What songs instantly lift you up, put a pep in your step or fire you up for a workout? What songs help you sense the Lord’s presence, love and goodness? On the other hand, what songs incite anger, self-pity and depression? What songs tempt you to live in a way that doesn’t please the Lord?

Why not start 2020 by reinventing your joy? Make a playlist of 10 happy, joyful songs that you’ll listen to every day! What would happen in 2020 if you decided you’d only listen to uplifting, faith-filled songs? What the songs that are filled with the Word of God and based on the Promises of God that encourage your faith, help you rejoice (rekindle your joy) and reestablish your focus on the Lord? I guarantee you’d sense God’s presence more regularly and you’d have a continual cloud of joy surrounding you every day. We encourage you all to start building that cloud of JOY! As Pastor Mark Hankins said the Lord told him once that “If you only knew what happens in the spirit when you rejoice, you would rejoice every day.” And, “When you stop rejoicing, you stop receiving.” Remember dear Friends, “DOUBT complains, worries and is sad; but FAITH rejoices, gives thanks and is glad!” Our CELEBRATION is demonstration of our EXPECTATION. Create that atmosphere of JOY!

MAKE THIS FAITH DECLARATION OUT LOUD:

“Father, thank You for helping me reinvent and recreate the atmosphere around me! With Your help, I will choose to make a joyful noise from my heart through my lips and through the music, songs and tunes I listen to in 2020. Help Dear Father, rejoice every day and rejoice, renew and rekindle my strength and joy in the Lord! Thank You Father for helping me offer the sacrifice of praise to You continually from my heart of joy, love and gratitude. Thank You for helping me create the joyful sounds that cause me to make a joyful noise to You from the atmosphere of joy surrounding me! Thank You Lord! In Jesus’ Name. Amen.”

This is our prayer for you today: “I pray over you a release of the blessings of God’s undeserved kindness and total well-being that flows from our Father-God and from the Lord Jesus. He’s the Anointed Messiah who offered himself as the sacrifice for our sins! He has taken us out of this evil world system and set us free through our salvation, just as God desired. All the glory will go to God alone, throughout time and eternity. Amen!”
